At the annual VJ meeting, a member complained about the large signs opposite St Matthew on Wurzbach. I referred this and another sign issue on Wurzbach to the City.

Comment: Thankfully, this marks a successful end of the long involvement (about 1-1/2 years) by VJNI and its members in the question of allowing off-premise digital billboards in San Antonio. (See Issues page.)

01/29/09 - Meeting about McCombs' petition to close Mockingbird: Meeting Notice
Synopsis - The meeting went 2+ hours under the personal guidance of CW Cibrian. The overwhelming consensus of Greatview neighbors was negative-to-hostile towards the proposed closure. At the end of the meeting, I tried to get a straw count but was cut off by CW Cibrian after only one person indicated he was favorable.
